Board certification is a highly prestigious accomplishment that has been granted to only a small percentage of injury attorneys. Read on to learn more about this achievement and what it means for trucking accident litigation.
The National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) and Fried Goldberg are pleased to announce that Attorney Briant Mildenhall has successfully achieved Board Certification as a Truck Accident Law advocate.
The NBTA was formed out of a strong conviction that both the legal profession and its clients would benefit from an organization designed to create an objective set of standards substantiating an attorney’s experience and expertise in the practice of trial law.
Mr. Mildenhall joins an elite group of trial attorneys who have illustrated their commitment to bettering the legal profession. A board-certified attorney must successfully complete a rigorous application process. Certification standards provide the consumer of legal services with an objective measure by which to choose qualified and experienced legal counsel.
“Becoming board certified by the NBTA means more than just a recognition of experience and knowledge in truck accident law. It shows the dedication and focus our firm has to providing outstanding legal help to those in need. This comes after years of hard work from our entire team, including immense help and mentoring from Joe Fried. I am honored to join other attorneys who are board certified in truck accident law by the NBTA in protecting our roadways.” – Briant Mildenhall
The intensive screening of credentials that all NBTA board-certified attorneys must successfully complete includes:
- Demonstration of substantial trial experience
- Submission of judicial and peer references to attest to their competency
- Attendance of continuing legal education courses
- Submission of legal writing documents
- Proof of good standing
- Passing of an examination
Board Certification is the highest, most stringent, and most reliable honor an attorney can achieve. Such certifications are the only distinctions awarded by non-profit organizations. The NBTA and all board-certifying organizations are committed to improving the public’s ability to select the ideal attorney to represent them.

In most instances, these types of lawsuits are best handled by a law firm that has specific focus in commercial vehicle law, as it is much different from other areas of collision law.
